Offseason Project: Brainpan Chassis

To free up space and improve serviceability, we redesigned our robot’s electrical layout by flipping the electrical board upside down. This keeps the top of the robot clear for mechanisms while making wiring and adjustments easier.

To protect the electronics, we added a removable lower protection plate that shields components from field elements. The plate can be quickly detached by loosening just two screws, allowing fast access during matches.

We also lowered the battery by one inch using a dedicated battery holder, reducing the robot’s center of mass and improving stability. Together, these changes create a compact, accessible, and robust “brainpan” chassis design.

We invite other teams to utilize our design and expand upon it!

SparkMax Holder + Cap

Designed by one of our FRC Team members, this SparkMAX Holder along with its cap can easily secure and hold the SparkMAX along with the absolute encoder. The Cap has to be printed bottom side up to not get any issues while printing. Click below to download the STL files for both the cup and cap.
